College & Campus Ministry

United Methodists have had a passion for excellence in education since the denomination's beginnings. Since its earliest days, the United Methodist Church has attempted to provide training and support for those who are called into professional ministry and to provide access to church-related higher education to all who desire it.

United Methodists in Kansas are associated with three schools--Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina and Southwestern College in Winfield. These three schools provide liberal arts education in a Christian environment and offer support to students through active campus ministry programs.

The Kansas West Conference plays a key role in the United Methodist campus ministry program at the seven participating public universities across the state. Through campus ministry programs, United Methodists are offering a number of activities that enrich students' lives and spiritual journeys.
