About Us - CCYM

CCYM Mission Statement

In connecting with the mission of the United Methodist Church and the Kansas West Conference, CCYM seeks to support teenagers and youth workers in making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

As members of CCYM we will strive to strengthen our own faith, develop leadership skills, and create unity between the districts as we fulfill our larger purpose of making disciples of Jesus Christ.

Purpose of CCYM

Be an example of and for Jesus Christ
Initiate & plan activities that fulfill our mission
Be a powerful voice for youth and an advocate for youth issues
Increase awareness of United Methodist connection
Coordinate ministries with the districts and local churches
Support the local churches through fellowship, nurture, spiritual growth, and service
Generate resources for the Youth Service Fund
Provide names to nominations committees for youth involvement in the conference
Have the kind of fun large numbers of Christians can have together

CCYM can provide leadership and training in the local church on a variety of topics. Please contact Justin Lefto, the Kansas West Conference Associate Director of Connectional Ministries Relating to Students and Camping.

Protection policy for children, youth and vulnerable adults

Kansas West Conference policy states that anyone working with youth, children, or developmentally disabled dependent persons at conference or district events must have conference boundary awareness certification.
