Holiday hours for the Kansas Area Resource Center

Thanksgiving Week:
Monday, Nov. 23, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Tuesday, Nov. 24, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Wednesday, Nov. 25, through Friday, Nov. 27, closed
The center will reopen Monday, Nov. 30, at 11 a.m.

Christmas Week
Monday 12/21       9:00 – 3:00
Tuesday 12/22      9:00 – 3:00
Wednesday, Dec. 23, through Friday, Dec. 25, closed
The center will reopen Monday, Dec. 28, at 11 a.m. 

Since the May 19 fire, the Kansas Area Resource Center's inventory has been reduced.

The Kansas Area Resource Center has a few Advent/Christmas resources available for both children and adults: 

• DVD008: “A Christmas Carol Bible Study” for youth, adults
• DVD011: “The True Christmas Story” for adults
• DVD167: “Martin and the Heavenly Tree” for children
• DVD168: “Animated Stories from the New Testament - The King is Born” for children
• DVD184: “Advent Calendar on DVD” for youth and adults (25 mini-documentaries)
• DVD236: “Advent through the Lens of Hollywood” for adults
• DVD327: “Once Upon a Stable” for children 
• DVD328: “Advent Conspiracy” for adults, older youth

The resource center also has the curriculum, “Destination Christmas!  Advent Programs and Practices for Youth” (CURR231).

An off-site location is being used to house resources now, which will facilitate rebuilding the collection.

However, resources will only be shipped on Tuesdays until further notice. Therefore, be sure to make requests a minimum of nine days prior to use. This allows time for processing and traveling off-site to pick up the items requested.

To order a resource, call the center at 800-745-2350 or 316-684-0266 or send an e-mail to karc@kswestumc.org. Include the item number of the resource.

Return resources by using the bags and tags provided. Mail the bags to KARC, 9440 E. Boston Suite 120, Wichita, KS 67207.

Do not use the drop box at the conference office.
